[FR] Site daté de 400 (rempart primitif) à 50 avant JC. Ces remparts gaulois attestent de l'ancienneté du site défensif d'Amboise. Le site de l'oppidum gaulois et gallo-romain des Châtelliers, est l'un des plus représentatifs, pour la région, de ce type de site d'éperon fortifié correspondant à une importante agglomération en voie d'urbanisation. Le rempart de terre, précédé d'un large fossé, ferme complètement le plateau sur son accès oriental. Le rempart gaulois est immédiatement antérieur, ou contemporain, de la conquête de César. Deux statuettes anthropomorphes ont été découvertes au cours des fouilles.

[EN] Site dated from 400 (primitive rampart) to 50 BC. These Gallic ramparts attest to the antiquity of the defensive site of Amboise. The site of the Gallic and Gallo-Roman oppidum des Châtelliers, is one of the most representative for the region of this type of fortified spur site corresponding to a large agglomeration in the process of urbanization. The earth rampart, preceded by a wide moat, completely closes the plateau on its eastern access. The Gallic rampart is immediately prior, or contemporary, of the conquest of Caesar. Two anthropomorphic statuettes were discovered during the excavations.
