Information Sign near building:

1925 Headquarters is established here for all mounted calvary in National Guard. Barns and tents house te soldiers and horses.

1932-35 Several rock buildings similar to this are added to camp by CCC workers. These workers do other rock projects around the area.

1940 Camp Wolters is activated by the US Army as an Infantry Replacement Center. 7,500 acres are added to the original 50 acres.

1943-45 This is a temporary home for German POWs until end of WWI

1946 Camp Wolters is deactivated by the US Army. This original 50 acres is returned to National Guard.

1946-65 National Guard uses this property for various purposes until sold as excess property.

1965 Pratt Brothers donate most land to MWISD

1968 A new high school is built on this site.

2000 High School is replaced with present school facility.
