Fressines is a French commune, located in the department of Deux-Sevres and region Poitou-Charentes. Attached to the district of Niort and the Canton of Celles-sur-Belle, its population without double count is 1 634 inhabitants (official January 1, 2016).

History:
The plans of construction for the town hall - school of Fressines were established by the architect A. Bergeron March 2, 1877. The lodging of function is probably contemporary of the town hall.
Since 2000, the school is named after Pierre Moinot, an academician born in Fressines on March 29, 1920.
Description:
The facade of the town hall has, on either side of a central door, two bays of windows. A strip of support passes under the windows of the floor. The roof is illuminated only by a single bay located in line with the door and over which the roof pan breaks to form a point. The town hall is extended on each side by two wings set back.
These two wings on the ground floor, house the school of the town which is composed of six classes. Behind the town hall, on the other side of the schoolyard, there is a three - span residence with a central door and a floor. The openings have lintels with a segmental arch, a support band passes under the windows of the floor and a cornice of cubic section is the sum of the elevation. The long roof is covered with hollow tiles. The accommodation is extended on the right by a shed.

Description :
La façade de la mairie présente, de part et d' autre d' une porte centrale, deux travées de fenêtres. Un bandeau d' appui passe sous les fenêtres de l' étage. Le comble n' est éclairé que par une seule baie située dans l' alignement de la porte et au-dessus de laquelle le pan du toit se brise pour former une pointe. La mairie est prolongée de chaque côté par deux ailes en retrait.
Ces deux ailes en rez-de-chaussée, abritent l' école de la commune qui est composée de six classes. Derrière la mairie, de l' autre côté de la cour d' école, se trouve un logement de fonction à trois travées avec porte centrale et un étage. Les ouvertures ont des linteaux en arc segmentaire, un bandeau d' appui passe sous les fenêtres de l' étage et une corniche de section cubique somme l' élévation. Le toit à longs pans est couvert de tuiles creuses. Le logement est prolongé à droite par une remise.
