On the churchyard of the church St. Pankratius stands a more than 100 year old oak. It is framed by a small fence and a large plaque is attached to this fence.
The plaque commemorates the 19-year-old high school graduate Georg Haupt, who died on 15 August 1917 in the First World War.
On the plaque there is a small poem:

As a boy you drew this tree
Serving fate in child play
Now he stands here dreaming your dream
Of Germany's fame, founding the future
Location of the tree: Kirchfriedhof St. Pankratius

Type of tree: Eiche
