Redbud Valley offers a rugged one mile trail that takes hikers through a variety of habitats, ranging from flood-plain forest and shady north-facing slopes to limestone bluffs and dry upland forest. The valley is home to unique plant and animal life, and the purpose of the Preserve is, well, to preserve this habitat, so one of the preserve rules is that hikers must "stay on the trail."
