First Baptist Church Jones, located at SW 3rd and Hawaii Streets is a tan brick building. A one-story classroom portion has a flat roof. The sanctuary and a two-story building at the rear have gabled roofs. Street-side parking is located on the west and south sides.
This church has an active agenda, with worship services on Sunday at 10:40AM and 6:00PM. Children's and youth activities are held on Wednesday evenings, along with a prayer service. There is a Secret Sister's Prayer Ministry, and the men meet on the 2nd Saturday at 8:30 for a prayer breakfast. The men also have an annual fishing trip which is very popular. Seniors meet at 11:00AM on the 1st Tuesday for a time of fellowship.
The church offers family counseling, and has a food pantry which is open on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 9-11:00AM. A bus ministry is available on Wednesdays for any children needing a ride to church.
