An old, refurbished red telephone box now provides shelter for a crossing guard for the Farmersville schools, near the corner of TX 78 and Gaddy St, Farmersville, TX.

When concerns were raised about protection from the elements for the school crossing guard, this box was placed here in 2018 after having been refurbished by Rusty's Bodywerks, a nearby car repair shop. "Farmersville" replaces "Telephone" on all four sides, and the school's mascot -- a farmer, what else? -- is above "Farmersville" on two of the four sides. A hasp lock prevents unauthorized access, and there is no phone, although the crossing guard's equipment is in plain view.
Please limit visits to times outside of school hours, given the interesting times in which we live.
