FR - Au-delà des anciennes dépendances du couvent des Croisiers, visibles à la suite de la chapelle et de son portail monumental, l’angle de la rue du même nom est occupé par un long btiment qui n’est autre qu’un ancien presbytère daté de 1765. Celui-ci se compose d’un soubassement appareillé au-dessus duquel se détachent deux étages de briques éclairés de baies de type tournaisien, caractérisées par des encadrements alternant pierre et briques.
Fait digne d’être mentionné, on dénombre pas moins de dix baies factices sur les neuf travées que comprend la façade principale, une caractéristique que l’on remarque également sur les deux travées qui bordent la rue de la Galterie-Saint-Jean. Marquant le centre de l’édifice, une porte se distingue encore par sa menuiserie originale surmontée d’une baie d’imposte à petits-bois rayonnants. Enfin, une corniche à mutules précède la toiture constituée d’une btière de tuiles à croupe sur laquelle se détache une lucarne, à croupe elle aussi.
EN - Beyond the former outbuildings of the convent Crosiers, visible after the chapel and its monumental portal, the corner of the street of the same name is occupied by a long building that is none other than a former presbytery dated from 1765. It consists of a base paired above which stand out two floors of bricks lit bays type Tournaisien, characterized by frames alternating stone and bricks.
It is worth mentioning that there are no fewer than ten dummy bays on the nine spans that comprise the main facade, a feature that can also be seen in the two spans that line the Rue de la Galterie-Saint-Jean. Marking the center of the building, a door is still distinguished by its original carpentry surmounted by a bay window of small beam radiating. Finally, a cornice with mutules precedes the roof consists of a rump tiled roof on which stands a skylight, croup too.
