This milestone is situated on the B940 in the Kingdom of Fife a few hundred yards to the south of the village of Pitscottie. It lies on the eastern verge of the road and is almost sunk beneath the grass with mostly the cap just visible.

Like most of the milestones in Fife it is of whinstone with a cast-iron cap denoting the place names in black abbreviated cursive script lettering. The places listed are, to the south, Peat Inn, Kilconquhar, and Elie. To the north, Cupar, Osnaburgh (the old name for the village of Dairsie), and Newport-on-Tay.
