A report written by Rob Andrews about The Harvester appeared in The Sentinel on 3rd October 2017. The report reads as follows;

"Outdoor bar plan to ease match-day queues for Stoke City fans at Harvester pub next to bet365 Stadium
Outside area will also include seats for 100 people and a TV
Stoke City fans wanting a pint can look forward to a much faster match-day service - thanks to the installation of an outdoor bar at a pub.
The Harvester – which is across the road from the bet365 Stadium – is about to undergo a major refurbishment.

One of the biggest changes will be an outside area with seating for up to 100 people, a new bar and a TV.
It is hoped the move will ease the crowds on Stoke City match-days, when the pub-restaurant is often packed to capacity.
Manager Arthur Smith said: “We are spending a lot of money on our beer garden and will introduce an outside bar to try to cope with the crowds on match-days because we are so busy. Fans start coming from before midday and it just gets busier – it can be four or five deep at the bar.
“We have already been trialling a mobile bar which has worked well. It will also help when anything else is happening at the stadium, like concerts.
“There will be a large covered area, new furniture and a TV there. It will seat 100 people and when it’s busy with people standing it will fit 200.
“It will be a nice, big feature for outside and it will reduce queuing times and deliver a better guest experience.”
The Harvester, on Trentham Lakes, closes for the refurbishment on October 11 and is expected to reopen at the end of the month.
Extra staff have been taken on in preparation for the changes.
Arthur added: “It’s a complete refurbishment and we will have a brand-new menu offering more variety and premium options. It's a brand-new concept. It’s going to be absolutely stunning. This is a really exciting time for us.”
Stoke City fans having a drink before last Saturday's Premier League match against Southampton have welcomed news of the refurbishment.
Harvester regular Bev Adams, aged 58, of Whitehill, said: “We come here every match-day and it gets really busy in the bar – so much so it can be hard to get to the toilets.
“The outdoor bar is a fabulous idea. It will take the pressure off the bar inside because you can already tell a difference when it’s sunny and people sit outside so this will be brilliant.”
Season ticket holders Glen Ford and daughter Laura Cowley attend every home game.
Glen, aged 56, from Bicester, said: “An outdoor bar makes sense because there’s a lot of room out there for something like this. It gets packed in here and sometimes you have a job to move through the bar, so it’s a really good idea.”
Laura, aged 33, added: “An outdoor bar might make us come more often.”
