UPDATE: It was reported in November 2020 that this tree has been cut down and is now just a stump. This may have been due to a very bad ice storm in late October which heavily damaged many trees in central Oklahoma.

William A. "Bill" Hutton was born November 11, 1947 and passed away on December 5, 1991 at the age of 44. He was a member of the Midwest City Rotary Club, and had a distinguished military service. This tree was planted in February 1992 to honor him. Bill Hutton

The tree is a Red Oak, and it is planted among other trees that make up the Midwest City Hall Arboretum. Unfortunately, our visit was in November and we did not see the tree in its full glory.

A bronze plaque beneath the tree reads:

RED OAK
In memory of
Bill Hutton
Rotarian
Midwest City Rotary Club
February 23, 1992

Location of the tree: City Hall - Midwest City, OK

Type of tree: Red Oak
