The Frisco Center is a large event center located at 101 S. 4th Street. In front of the main entrance, under a circular portico, this Pioneer Man sculpture stands on a four foot high granite base which is engraved "PIONEER MAN / Rich Muno / Sculptor / July 4, 1976".

The life-sized sculpture shows a pioneer dressed in trousers with suspenders, a sun hat and high boots. His right hand is resting on the handle of a pick-ax, and alongside him on the left is a rifle. The sculpture was dedicated as part of a Bicentennial commemoration. A bronze plaque on the base shows the Dedication date of July 4, 1976, and a Re-dedication date of September 30, 2017.

Richard Carl "Rich" Muno was born in 1939 and passed away in 2015. His artistic abilities showed up as a young child. To read about his life, visit his obituary: Rich Muno
