Comanche Chief News Article"In 1909, the cornerstone was laid for the completion of the three story brick building located on the Southeast corner of the square in Comanche. The lodge met on the third floor of this brick building; the second floor furnished space for offices of varying business, while the first floor offered space for three separate business enterprizes.
Hope Lodge continued to use the brick building on the southeast corner of the square for approximately 56 years, holding their regular meetings on the third floor and receiving rentals from the leases of the space on the second and first floors.
In October, 1965, Hope Lodge No. 481, A.F. & A.M. Comanche, was honored by having the new MW Grand Master of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons in Texas, the Honorable J. Carrol Hinsley, dedicate a new temple, a one story brick structure, which stands at 400 N. Austin Street."
