"Wiene is a hamlet in the municipality of Hof van Twente, in Twente within the Dutch province of Overijssel.

The neighborhood comprises the rural area between Delden, Goor and Bentelo.

Characteristic of this rural area is the wooded-in-the-wallen landscape in Twente. Wiene is intersected by the Twentekanaal and the Zutphen-Oldenzaal railway line, on which it had its own stopping place for a long time, the Wiene stopping place. The neighborhood has a strong agricultural character. Until a few years ago, large concentrations of pig farms were found, and pig farming is still an important source of income. There is also a vineyard.

Wiene is socially intertwined with the hamlet of Het Zeldam. There are joint associations for both neighborhoods. The annual Summer Party is organized jointly.

From a religious point of view, a small part of Wiene belongs to the parish of the HH. Peter and Paul in Goor and the remainder to the parish of St. Blasius in Delden.

For work and shopping, the inhabitants of the neighborhood depend on the surrounding villages and the cities of Goor and Delden. "
