The 3 metre tall memorial is just inside the brick and metal rail fencing of Mays Hill Cemetery. It has a couple of rectangula prism-shaped blocks atop a cuboidal block (possibly all sandstone), with a slightly tapering one, with most of the engraved inscription transcribed below. It is topped with an obtusely angled, over-hanging block, with the Broken Column on top, with a sculptured posy.
