The Mays Hill Cemetery is one of the earliest cemeteries in what was western Sydney in the 1840's. While the Presbyterians had a section from 1839, it wasn't till 1849 that the Baptists of the Parramatta area also had a section. BTW the first Presbyterian entry to record was October 1843, while the first Baptist entry was in September 1852.
The cemetery is in the City of Parramatta Council. This commemorative plaque is on the western side of the lychgate entrance to the Cemetery. The transcription of the bronze follows:
