"Duke" the SWOSU Mascot - Weatherford, OK - Outside Wooden Display Carvings on Waymarking.com

The carving is located on the north side of Burton House, the offices of the University Foundation and Alumni Center on Campus Drive just southwest of Centennial Plaza. The tree stump is approximately 8 ft. high and shows a bulldog standing on his hind legs on the back side of the stump with his front legs at the top, and his nose in the air. The school initials SWOSU are shown beneath the bulldog. The sculptor was created in 2008 by Clayton Coss, a renowned chainsaw carver from Oklahoma.

The bulldog is "Duke", the school mascot. A bronze plaque on the back of the tree stump reads:
