A brushed stainless steel rectangular plaque is screwed to a slightly angled plinth on a concrete base in front of the Dedicated Tree (a pine tree, and possibly an Aleppo pine). The plaque inscription is:
This pine was planted to commemorate
the Centenary of the landing at Gallipoli
1915 - 2015
The tree was planted by
Trouper Gary J Nichols
A Vietnam veteran
on 25.4.2015
Lest We Forget
I would understand that this area of the Nimmitabel Cenotaph is used at least on a yearly basis on ANZAC Day (25 April), but it could also be visited on 11 November as well.
