About Fisherman's Wharf:
(link below)

One of the best seafood restaurants in Galveston, Fisherman’s Wharf is renowned for the freshest fish and seafood specialties. A Texas-sized establishment, it is the perfect spot to unwind, ideally situated next to the Historic Strand District, the Tall Ship Elissa and Galveston Cruise Terminal. The menu features the famous Shrimp Kisses (bacon-wrapped and stuffed with jalapeño Jack cheese) as well as an extensive selection of fresh fish daily, signature seafood combination platters, savory chicken dishes, pastas and perfectly prepared steaks. Enjoy a leisurely meal in one of the many dining areas – all of which boast splendid views of the bay.

A legacy of great seafood since the 1940s, the site originally housed a shrimp and fish “factory” – an old tin building where mountains of Gulf shrimp were readied for shipment across the country. Shrimp from this very place was served to President John F. Kennedy at the White House. In 1966, the current building was constructed to meet the growing demand for Galveston shrimp, which many have acclaimed as the “best shrimp on Earth.” The proprietor’s wife started serving Shrimp Po-boys to the workers in 1970, and the rest is history!

Enjoy waterfront seafood at its best at Fisherman’s Wharf in Galveston, open daily for lunch and dinner. Also join us for the best Happy Hour in Galveston, with drink and appetizer specials Sunday through Friday 11am – 7pm.

Tall Ship Elissa

Situated right next door to Fisherman’s Wharf is the Texas Seaport Museum, home of the 1877 tall ship Elissa. Before or after your meal at Fisherman’s Wharf, stroll the decks of this floating National Historic Landmark and experience the adventure of the high seas. In the museum, you can view a film about Elissa’s rescue from the scrap yard and her amazing restoration.
