"The hotel is located on the Binnen-Amstel, at the southern end of the Kloveniersburgwal. The entrance is at Nieuwe Doelenstraat 24.
The hotel from 1882 / '83 was designated as a national monument in 2001. The best preserved part of the 19th-century hotel interior is the central hall with marble staircases, balustrade and paintwork by G.H. Heinen.
On the site of the hotel was originally a medieval city lighthouse, Swych Utrecht, this tower had to defend Amsterdam against possible attacks led by the bishops of Utrecht. This also served as Kloveniersdoelen. The goals were expanded in 1638 with a chic new wing, where the famous group portrait The Night Watch by Rembrandt came to hang.
In 1815 the target complex became a, at that time very renowned, hotel with the name Brack's Doelen Hotel. In 1870 the complex got a new owner, J.F. Hahn. In view of the expected visitor flow during the 1883 world exhibition, Hahn had the complex demolished in 1882 / '83 and replaced by the current Doelen Hotel, a neo-renaissance-style building designed by J.F. from Hamersveld.
The tour boats of Amsterdam, now one of the largest tourist attractions in the Netherlands, originated at the Doelen Hotel. The city's first tour boat, De Tourist, sailed from the hotel from 1909 onwards.
The Beatles stayed at the hotel on June 5 and 6, 1964 when they visited the Netherlands during a tour in Europe and Australia. "

L'hôtel de 1882/83 a été désigné monument national en 2001. La partie la mieux préservée de l'intérieur de l'hôtel du XIXe siècle est le hall central avec les escaliers en marbre, la balustrade et les peintures de G.H. Heinen.

Les Beatles sont restés à l’hôtel les 5 et 6 juin 1964 lorsqu’ils se sont rendus aux Pays-Bas lors d’une tournée en Europe et en Australie. "

" Het hotel ligt aan de Binnen-Amstel, bij het zuidelijke einde van de Kloveniersburgwal. De ingang bevindt zich aan de Nieuwe Doelenstraat 24.
Het hotel uit 1882/'83 werd in 2001 aangewezen als rijksmonument. Het best bewaarde onderdeel van het 19e-eeuwse hotelinterieur is de centrale hal met marmeren trappen, balustrade en schilderwerk door G.H. Heinen.
Op de plek van het hotel stond oorspronkelijk een middeleeuwse stadsmuurtoren, Swych Utrecht, deze toren moest Amsterdam verdedigen tegen mogelijke aanvallen onder leiding van de bisschoppen van Utrecht. Deze deed ook dienst als Kloveniersdoelen. De doelen werd in 1638 uitgebreid met een chique nieuwe vleugel, waar het beroemde groepsportret De Nachtwacht van Rembrandt kwam te hangen.
Het doelencomplex werd in 1815 een, in die tijd zeer gerenommeerd, hotel met de naam Brack's Doelen Hotel. In 1870 kreeg het complex een nieuwe eigenaar, J.F. Hahn. Met het oog op de verwachte bezoekerstoestroom tijdens de wereldtentoonstelling van 1883 liet Hahn het complex in 1882/'83 afbreken en vervangen door het huidige Doelen Hotel, een gebouw in neo-renaissancestijl naar ontwerp van J.F. van Hamersveld.
De rondvaartboten van Amsterdam, nu een van de grootste toeristische trekpleisters van Nederland, vonden hun oorsprong bij het Doelen Hotel. De eerste rondvaartboot van de stad, De Tourist, voer vanaf 1909 vanaf het hotel.
Op 5 en 6 juni 1964 verbleven The Beatles in het hotel toen ze Nederland aandeden tijdens een tournee in Europa en Australië. "
