The article tells us, that on February 18, 2015, Berlin's Interior secretary pushed a button to re-ignite the flame in Berlin's historical Olympic Stadium.
In the same article, the managing director of the Olympic Stadium said "We are on fire for the Games."

As mentioned in the article Berlin's authorities were conducting a poll to assess public opinion and support. As a result of that poll, in July 2015, Berlin withdrew its application.
