The Brampton Bee Tree wood carving has been created from a Common Ash tree by sculptor Anthony Hammond. It is located in Brampton Park in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

'Anthony Hammond is an Award winning artist, sculptor and craftsman based in North Staffordshire.
He has worked nation-wide as a freelance artist since 1998.
His focus is predominantly on large scale public art works and private commissions and he has produced many successful projects across the country for a variety of clients.'http://www.anthonyhammond.co.uk/

An board located adjacent to the carving gives the following information;
'Brampton Bee Tree
These carvings depict the key aspects of a honey bee colony
and include a queen, drone,and worker as well as the
different stages of a hive developing.
The project was funded in partnership with the
North Staffs Model Engineering Society,
and was created by local artist
Anthony Hammond.
