"U.S. Post Office, Renaissance Revival-influences in symmetrical façade, arched entrance, and Classically-influenced windows surrounds; side-gabled tile roof, brick cladding, original eight-over-eight-light wood frame windows with cast concrete surrounds; replacement double door at entrance, but original arched opening with heavy voussoir is original; reportedly includes a full basement and bomb shelter (per GCHC member); decorative iron pole lights flanking entrance; per newspaper articles, building was completed in 1941"
