Location of Statue: 210 N. Main St., Pawhuska.
210 N. Main is the location of the Blacksmith House. A historic Landmark, and now used by the Chamber of Commerce of Pawhuska as their offices and a Visitor and Information Center.

This dog, un-named by the artist, and just lazing around...looks like, and would fit the times and place of the dog, would be a Blue Tick or possible a Red Bone. Both those dogs are hounds, tracking hounds used for hunting deer or raccoons (when that was legal of course)...and were very common the the "Territories" ...as these land were called.
