Long Description:
With a seating capacity of less than 2,000, this was the smallest of the three arenas that hosted figure skating and ice hockey events.

I can't find a schedule that lays out which arenas hosted which hockey games, but I would presume that games that featured the lower ranking teams would have been here - perhaps Austria versus West Germany and Poland versus France.

The Figure Skating Men's and Women's Compulsories were held at the venue. Calgary was the last Olympics to hold this discipline as compulsory figures have not been a part of all international and most national competitions since 1990. It was the part of the competition where skaters had to follow circular patterns on the ice. Until 1947, for approximately the first fifty years of the existence of figure skating as a sport, compulsory figures made up 60% of the total score at most competitions around the world. This aspect steadily declined in importance until they were discontinued.
