As of the 2010 census, Arlington had a population of 194. At the present it is in the middle of a farming area along the Gila River. Water taken from the river irrigates acres of alfalfa throughout the area. Arlington is on the old U.S. Highway 80 which once ran from coast to coast and in this area connected Phoenix with Yuma and then on to Los Angeles. That highway was decommissioned when Interstates 8 and 10 provided a much more direct route. Little traffic passes through Arlington now.
