This historic building on West Street is just one block from Goderich's historic Courthouse Square. Freemasonry in the area dates back to 1827.
The plaque next to the main entrance notes that $20,000 was raised in 1909 for the construction of this building. It was finished in 1913 and dedicated in 1914. Extensive repairs were required after a vicious tornado carved up the downtown in 2011.
This is still an active order. Members meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month except in July and August. Their website is (
