Translated from the above noted text:

The charnel chapel of the parish cemetery of Sayabec has a good heritage value. Its value lies particularly in its architecture. Built in 1956, this small building whose basement serves as a charnel house and the ground floor, chapel, evokes two trends, the use of traditional forms indicating its religious function and the ornamental stripping testifying to a certain modernity. Indeed, the chapel has a religious shape recognizable by its rectangular plan, its gable roof, its symmetrical composition and its bell-tower with ogival arches borrowed from neo-Gothic style. In return, apart from the steeple and a Gothic arch framing its main facade, the chapel-charnel is devoid of applied ornaments. The granite bossed stone cladding, the openings formed of glass blocks framed by smooth cut stone create a stripped down and formal simplicity. The heritage value of the chapel also lies in its location. Located in the center of a well-appointed cemetery, the chapel-charnel house is a landmark in this environment with little vegetation. It dominates Lake Matapedia which forms a magnificent backdrop.
