"Don Johnson is a Northern California tennis legend. He taught thousands in various tennis programs in San Jose. He was a professional player, a colleague of Arthur Ashe, a 2003 inductee into the African American Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame, and in 2004, into the U.S. Tennis Association's Northern California Hall of Fame. In 2006, he was presented the Jefferson Award for Public Service. Nicknamed "The Tennis Machine", Don Johnson was the face of tennis in San Jose."
