Harvest Caye is a new Caribbean resort type island port developed by Norwegian Cruise Lines. It opened in November 2016. One of the main features of Harvest Caye is a lighthouse structure called the Flighthouse from which two sets of zip lines originate.
The first is called the Lagoon Zipline. It takes riders across the lagoon to a transfer station. From there there is a short zip to an elevated rope suspension bridge. Riders then cross the bridge to the final zip line back to the base of the Flighthouse. Total distance of 1500 feet or 457 meters.
The second is called the the Superman Zipline. Riders assume a prone position as they zip over the water across the beach area of the island to a station at the southeast end of the island (coordinates: N 16° 28.512 W 088° 24.279), a distance of 1,300 feet (396 meters) at 40 mph.
