An accidental apostrophe turned a plural into a possessive mistake. The word should be "explorers" not "explorer's" in the last sentence of the first paragraph on an informational bronze plaque.

An accidental apostrophe punctuation mistake turned a plural into a possessive noun. The word should be "explorers" not "explorer's" in the last sentence of the first paragraph on an informational bronze plaque describing Old Florida's cowboys.

This plaque is mounted low to the ground on a rock. It is near the main entrance to an area called Brownwood in The Villages, Florida. There is a multiple-figure sculpture of life-sized cattle, a dog, and a cowboy on his horse a few yards south of this Waymark at the entrance.
