The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary is one of many EEL (Environmentally Endangered Lands) protected by Brevard County. The county acquires endangered lands using citizen approved tax money and protects it from development.

The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary is located on the southern edge of Titusville, FL, and contains a variety of habitats and wildlife. Nature trails ramble through woodlands and sand scrubs with signboards describing the various points of interest.

"There are five basic habitat types found at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary: Oak scrub, mesic and hydric hammock, wet prairie, and pine flatwood. Wildlife species found here include the Eastern indigo snake, Florida scrub lizard, gopher tortoise, white-tailed deer, and bobcat."
Staffed in large by volunteers, the park has limited hours - Tuesday through Sunday from 9-5. Don't miss visiting the nature center which provides examples of the local animals as well as descriptions of the history of the area. Additional information can be found (
