There are three levels to explore in this old mill building with restored artefacts, scenes from long ago, old cobbles and machinery and much to explore.
Regular exhibitions are held with art displays and involvement with the community including the local school. A welcoming reception and shop offers local gifts and there is a lift for accessibility.
Being in Okehampton the museum is ideal as a starting point before venturing onto Dartmoor. It also serves as the tourist information centre offering advice and leaflets.
