Follow Hilton Rd almost to the end and turn East at -30.04916S and 151.17172E.
Follow this track for about 1 Km and turn onto Tower Trail which leads to the trig station.
There are several communication towers with associated buidings on the site.
The trig is a concrete pedestal in good condition. The remains of an old Concrete Observation Pillar are still there close to the current Mast and Vane. There is a note on the Reconnaisance and Maintenance report dated 26 Nov 1974, saying "Concrete Pillar is unstable and should not be used as a standpoint for Theodolite observations"
The last official Access report I found was at 3 Nov 1997 from a Transgrid Surveyor.
A 4wd vehicle is neccessary as the track is quite rough in places, and would be even worse in wet weather. It was very dry when we visited.
