St Mary's is located in the small village of Hampton Lovett and is noted for some Norman features and is listed as Grade I by English Heritage.
The churchyard extends around the church and has a long bank at one side covered in snordrops at this time of year (February).
A group of FOUR identical crosses refer to the Rev. Joseph Amphlett, his wife and two daughters.
His cross reads :-

AGED 90 YEARS"
