The pair of Bicycle Tenders are powder coated a bright yellow, and made of an almost complete circle of 'U'-channel steel - with the 'U' facing out to form the central Sun. With five 'A'-shaped sections of U-channel, bent with the channel facing in to the 'sun'. On the flat base 'of the horizon' that sun has risen above, is an etched plaque, (which happens to explain why I didn't see these when I was last in Byron Bay - Tuesday, 14 June, 2016). It reads:
HAPPY HOOPS
Byron Bike Rack Project

A community project in partnership with Stone & Wood Brewing Co. and Byron Shire Council
Created by Larc Collective, May 2018

These Bicycle Tenders are outside 'The Balcony Bar & Oyster Co.' on Lawson Street, Byron Bay - the 'Mecca' for surfers, and others that 'follow the sun' (and surf).
More details about this, and the other new Bicycle Tenders in Byron Bay, that resulted from a community competition in 2017, can be found at: Byron Bike Rack Project.
