As we drove northwest of Fort Cobb to visit the municipal water tower, we noticed this former tank standing southwest of the larger tank. Our jaws dropped and we took a double-take, and then found ourselves giggling.

This is a silver cylinder with a dome top, supported by four steel legs. Graffiti marks the tank and we could not tell whether it is used for some purpose at this time. What caused our amazement is that the tank itself cannot be more than 16 feet off the ground. This is an elevated area, but we have never seen a tank barely above ground level before. It was definitely worth the visit. We're still chuckling about it.
