Penmarch chapel:
La Chapelle is located directly by the sea, between St Pierre and St Guénolé. Sentinel watching the sea, she is dedicated to the Virgin. The sailors came to thank her for saving them from the storms. During the pardon that took place on August 15, they paraded head and barefoot.
This building dates from the end of the 15th century century.
SEA SIDE
The bell tower is on blind pinion, only three loopholes let a little light pass. The short arrow is contiguous with two asymmetric turrets, one octagonal and the other cylindrical.
SOUTH SIDE
Two entrances in brace with florets and hooks. That located to the east is obstructed. One can notice a boat over the bay, between the doors. The foothills are of imposing size because the ground is not stable.
INSIDE
Rectangular plan with a long and narrow appenti. The cover is oak, in the shape of an overturned boat hull. The altarpiece executed by Jean Le Bosser dates from 1756. We can also notice ex-votos hanging from the transverse beams, in thanks to the Virgin.
The roof was completely renovated in 1998. The building is classified on December 7, 1916.
The Calvary dates back to 1588 and was restored in the 18th and 20th centuries.

la Chapelle se situe directement en bord de mer, entre St Pierre et St Guénolé. Sentinelle surveillant la mer, elle est dédiée à la Vierge. Les marins venaient la remercier de les avoir sauvés des tempêtes. Lors du pardon qui a lieu le 15 août, ceux-ci défilaient tête et pieds nus.
Cet édifice date de la fin du 15ème siècle siècle .
CÔTÉ MER
Le clocher est sur pignon aveugle, seules trois meurtrières laissent passer un peu de lumière. La courte flèche est accolée de deux tourelles dissymétriques, une octogonale et l’autre cylindrique.
CÔTÉ SUD
Deux entrées en accolade avec fleurons et crochets. Celle située à l’est est obstruée. On peut remarquer un bateau au-dessus de la baie, entre les portes. Les contreforts sont de tailles imposante car le sol est peu stable.
INTÉRIEUR
De plan rectangulaire avec un long et étroit appenti. La couverture est en chêne, en forme de coque de bateau renversée. Le retable exécuté par Jean Le Bosser date de 1756. On peut remarquer également des ex-votos suspendus aux poutres transversales, en remerciement à la Vierge.
La toiture fut entièrement rénovée en 1998. L’édifice est classé le 7 décembre 1916.
Le calvaire date de 1588 et a été restauré aux 18ème et 20ème siècles.
