J.E. Manley was only 28 years old when he passed in 1907. His Woodmen of the World headstone is one of the many tree stump varieties seen throughout the country. The top of the stump has two divided branches. The headstone stands on four horizontal logs with calla lilies engraved on them.

His inscription is located on a smooth recessed panel and reads:

Born Oct. 24, 1878
Died Mar. 29, 1907
Aged 28 YRS, 6 MO. & 5 DA.
