EN: This old water pump is in a small park on the river bank at the so-called Aarewaage in Aarburg.
The pump is probably old, but used to be somewhere else. The fastening screws of the iron attachment on the stone foundation are clearly younger than the rest.
The water flows into a square, rough-hewn stone trough with an outflow opening at the front.
The pump works; but according to a small sign on the pump, the water is not drinkable.
DE: Diese alte Wasserpumpe steht in einem kleinen Park am Flussufer bei der sogenannten Aarewaage in Aarburg.
Die Pumpe ist vermutlich alt, stand aber früher woanders. Die Befestigungsschrauben des eisernen Aufsatzes auf dem Steinfundament sind eindeutig jünger als der Rest.
Das Wasser fliesst in einen quadratischen, roh behauenen Steintrog mit einer Ausflussöffnung an der Vorderseite.
Die Pumpe funktioniert; nach einem kleinen Schild an der Pumpe ist das Wasser aber nicht trinkbar.
