Labelled a G503 Jeep, Ford GPW(Government Pygmy Willys), this machine is in its original yellow color. Echeverria Field, 15 miles west of Wickenburg, was a WWII glider training facility. The Jeep was used to tow the gliders to take off speed and the yellow color provided visibility in the desert. The Jeep was donated by a member of the family for whom the field was named.
