Luckily it is only a 6 foot (1.8 metre) high Colorbond fence, and you can easily see the wooden post and the bell attached as you walk along the footpath of Manners Street. (Well, I am 1.85 m tall!)
By holding my mobile phone at the top of the fence I could see that, the bell is attached to the top of a 2.5 metre tall hardwood post that has a pair of cleats on the northern side, for holding the bell-pulling cord.
The silver-painted 30 cm diameter bell is hanging from a swivel bar - also painted silver. The swivel bar has an upward-angled extension arm with same cable hanging from it, and the bar is notched into the top of a U-shaped frame of U-shaped silver-painted metal (about 8 cm across the 'U').
