EN: The Maillart Bridge crosses the Aare below the castle rock of Aarburg, where the river is forced through a narrow passage to the north by this ridge.

The concrete bridge has a single arch with a span of 72 meters and a width of 9.5 meters. The roadway lies on top of the arch.

This bridge was created in 1911-12 by the well-known concrete bridge pioneer Robert Maillart (1872-1940). His designs influenced architects and engineers around the world for decades.

The bridge in Aarburg had to be extensively renovated in 1968 and 1996.

DE: Die Maillart-Brücke überquert die Aare unterhalb des Schlossfelsens von Aarburg, wo der Fluss durch diesen Felsgrat durch eine Engstelle nach Norden gedrängt wird.

Die Betonbrücke hat einen einzigen Bogen mit einer Spannweite von 72 Metern und einer Breite von 9.5 Metern. Die Fahrbahn liegt auf dem Bogen auf.
