Site Location: On Islesboro Island, 6 miles east of Lincolnville.

Directions to this site: Lincolnville, ME - On US-1 follow signs to Islesboro Ferry. 20 minute ferry ride takes you right to the site.

Nearest City/Town: Lincolnville, ME

Purpose: Marked the entrance to Islesboro's Gilkey Harbor, then a very busy shipping center.

Active: Yes, but inactive from 1934-1987

Site established: 1851 by Millard Fillmore

Built: 1874

Ht. Above Sea level: 39 ft
