description/mission statement:
Description: We are looking for those places where amateur baseball or softball is played. This can be little league, schools and colleges. It can be on school, community, or city fields. The description should include the location and/or name of the field.
(Example: Joe Bechtel Field, Grass Lake HS, Grass Lake, MI)
Expanded Description: Around the world there are local, regional, and state baseball and softball games that are played every week. These are played on various days of the week. This waymark is to showcase those locations. The location of the waymark is to be the approximate center of the backstop, to the actual field. Photo of GPS is not required but photo must be taken by the poster of the waymark. Please do not include fields that are used primarily by Minor or Major league teams and on special occasions host high school or college games.
(Example; C.O. Brown Stadium, Battle Creek, MI.
Used for Michigan State High School playoff games)
Instructions for Posting a School Baseball or Softball Field Waymark:
There must be at least one photograph of the field and if the field has a name it should be included in this photograph.
A photograph of an uncommon scoreboard would be acceptable. This photograph can be taken at any time of the day.
No photographs posted here are to include any identifiable students.
DO NOT VISIT K-12 SCHOOLS DURING SCHOOL HOURS. Ballfields at these locations should be marked and logged only during games times or other non school hours.
