The Cartographia Group has been formed to promote, explore and delight in the use of maps of all kinds. This group will manage the Cartographia Category to support that goal. Here you will be able to waymark publicly accessible map libraries (many universities have them), Places where maps and atlases are created (Think DeLorme, National Geographic , the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, ADCMaps etc.), places associated with map-making (the observatory at Greenwich, England, for instance), map stores, globes of earth and other celestial bodies, and the homes of famous cartographers. Come join us in the joy of exploring the representation of three dimensional space in two dimensions, or on an accurate reduced scale globe!
