The purpose of this group is to locate any memorial to a single specific animal (not a species or breed) who was noteworthy enough to be given a plaque or statue commemerating their life. The story of the animal is as important as the memorial itself. Examples include a plaque in a town square dedicated to Mike the stray dog who lived there for years, or a statue and plaque for Hazel the gorilla, who was the mainstay of the local zoo.
