description/mission statement:
The U.S. Works Progress Administration was in existence from 1935 until 1943 to create jobs for out-of-work Americans. One of the many projects they were involved with was the creation and placement of bronze historical markers at historic sights around the United States. These markers are identifiable by the initials W.P.A at the bottom. The purpose of this group is create and maintian a category to way mark these specific historical markers.
