The group Diners, Drive-ins and Dives is dedicated to the waymarking of those independent establishments that excel in the culinary art. Whether improving on the past, starting new trends, or providing something totally different, these restaurants are not locked down to mediocre cuisine.
Diners, Drive-ins and Dives starts with the restaurants featured on our favorite food critic television programs. Then we search out and investigate those restaurants ourselves! In this group’s opinion, the BEST source of information for culinary critique is our own peers. This is waymarking you can enjoy with all of your senses.
While other waymarking groups just list establishments that feature identical food, we strive to find the best, one bite at a time. This is true regardless of the establishment being a sit down diner, a drive-in café or a takeout stand. If their food is the best, it is on the list.
Diners, Drive-ins and Dives is an ever-expanding group of waymarks. Although named after a well known American television program, it is not locked down to any one country or show. The inclusion of other television programs is easy. Just three things are needed. Provide us with the name of the nationally broadcast-ed food critiquing program (whatever the nationality), the program’s website and the list of featured restaurants.
So plot your GPS coordinates, head down the road, and bring a healthy appetite!
