When Andrew Jackson ran for President in 1828, he pledged to move the Indians west of the Mississippi River.

The Lustron Corporation in Columbus, Ohio produced almost 2,500 of these solid steel homes between 1949 and 1950 before declaring bankruptcy. The ranch style homes usually had two or three bedrooms. Some even had garages.
